But let us try to unpack that statement in the easiest most comprehensible way I know.Every one who is living has a purpose on this Earth. Of course if one would want to go on the philosophical route, every single word can be argued on definitions and what not. By nature humans are selfish. Logically we are always looking out for ourselves. I mean, who wouldn't. But there are terms that goes against this... Sharing, sacrifice, self-control, etc. Terms that go against selfishness... All of them would not exist without love. Think for a moment. Would you share if there is no love? Would you sacrifice something, someone, or yourself if there was no love? Get it? Everything revolves around love. Everything good i mean. So, the question today is, can selfishness take over friendship? At some points in life, selfishness does take over friendship. It is a compromise we have to live with. There are many factors to why we become selfish between friends. Like I said earlier...looking out for ourselves. Can be the character of a person.Sometimes it acts as a defense mechanism... Well for my 100th post I figured I show you a video I did. I used a programme called Sony Vegas and it is awesome with the editing and all. So cool. splitting the videos and combining many sounds together. Probably not new or cool to you but it was my first and I felt that I learned something awesome. Ok I am going to go off theme here. It is just something that happened to me. As some of you readers may know, in Malaysia, we are celebrating Chinese New Year . So today on the first day of Chinese New Year , as usual all the children and grandchildren will go to their grandparent's house. So I have this really lousy black shoe I bought recently which was meant to be worn for my brother's wedding. A cheap RM 20 shoe. So At my grandparent's place, there were guest already there. So I specifically placed my shoe at the very far end corner of the porch beside an ugly slipper so that no one would take it. Here is the interesting part. When the guest had left and it was my families turn to go visiting, I could not find shoe at all. Instead I saw a CROCODILE shoe in front of me. I was like." Mum....Dad.... My friend gave a good point on true friends. He said I was one of his best friends. Then I said, " oh but i rarely spend time with you". He then replied saying a good friend need not be a friend who is always with you. I understood by what he meant. I felt foolish for saying that to him then.               By the way what I am going to say has nothing to do with me. How to distinguish between friend or like. I think this is one of the biggest blunder in relationships. The factors that destroys friendships. What do you think?             Some of you may say it takes skill to distinguish between acting as a friend and liking the friend. I say it is totally wrong . If it was a skill then many friendships would be destroyed now.  But I would say this though. The ability....argh it ain't an ability, but to know this it takes keen observation and knowing the other person. Why some people can't distinguish? Well I can't give u a 100% answer, just in theories . I think when one confesses and gets rejected, he would think he is being played right?
