Instagram deactivated (Ish)

Instagram no more (Ish) Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta . Yes guys, I am starting a whole new Instagram account. A public one with a specific goal. To create a community within Instagram that laughs with insights. Who is the target market? Malaysians, Christians, but the group that gets the best of both worlds are Malaysian Christians because they get both context to the max. Allow me to break it down into three phases for this account. 1. How I started? 2. Why I am getting off instagram personally? 3. Why am I starting this @msianchristian_memes? 1. History (How I started?) Instagram for me like many started as just following trend. I used it to keep updated with friends and keep in touch where I could not. Upon coming to MCKL the natural idea was that students too started following me. It has created many opportunities for me. The fact that I appreciate that students do follow me keeps me accountable as a character

The Start Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta . Click here to see how her family accepted me. Who knew that the day I would be getting married is knocking at the door of my new life. God has proved me wrong once again. I invested in the things the world may not necessarily prioritize, learning to build character and godliness by His grace when my peers did what was logical. Be it climb the corporate ladder, better pay, better life; all which are mighty fine. But here I was saying “I will trust the Lord as I take this step, go this area, and make this decision” And lo and behold God graced me with a woman who values these things. Not only her but her parents. For more of that story on how that is seen as God’s grace click here to see how the parents accepted me.     Marriage in today’s age is not seen as an institution that needs takes any precedence. It is both accurate both in the secular and biblical world. Secular meaning that in the age of

Chair Advisor of CF: The Shepherds Role

Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta . I will not pretend that the road to being an advisor what more the chair of it is a rosy one. It isn’t one with flashy titles, with power, nor with any form of compensation. The only reason to ever take up such a role is if you understand what God has called you to and that as a Christian you are to serve. Such was the context. The idea of a leader within God’s kingdom is servant leadership; where we are to go and make disciples, sacrificially love one another, and be salt and light in a decaying world. Speaking of context, a Christian Fellowship advisor in MCKL are those who help oversee the CF in terms of the departments, help in sharing God’s world as well as help out in events. The Chair Advisor’s role is to wear multiple lenses: to understand the views of the students at the grassroots level, to understand the views of the fellow advisors on a peer level and understand the views of management on an institu

Deactivating Facebook : Insights of Tech Detoxification

Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta .              I am here to offer you my insights from just one simple act. An act that is not popular and perhaps at the expense of inconveniencing others. I decided to deactivate my Facebook for one month and here is what I discovered. Facebook was not the only thing I disabled. I also offed all my notifications from my phone save the chats with my fiancée. I also turned off all the suggestions I had from google, Instagram, and YouTube. What it had resulted is a change in lifestyle that includes time, productivity, and freedom. These words are simple, but it’s significance is life changing. Let me break it down and tell you why. Time                Seriously you might not notice it at first but it was the painful realization that Facebook was taking most of my time away. For those who aren’t affected good (perhaps it is something else, YouTube or Instagram). If you aren’t sure, download the app called Acti

The family that accepted me

1. The context Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta . Click here to find out what will be the best gift for my wife. I have no intention to be clickity-baity but it just happens. Now before I do expound on what I am going to say I need to define family just in case you are thinking which family rejected him?. Family does include immediate and community and yes I love my family so much. To say one accepted me is not to say the other didn't. Nonetheless, I am alluding to a key point within a family culture of success that varies from one to another.  Before I begin, I want to humbly point out that we are a broken broken society. The world is a broken society. Where their god is their belly. Their desires are what they want and what the world offers. And their achievements go as far as only what the eyes see. So bear with me readers as I carefully express the culture. However, I will mainly focus on two events and both with my fiancee's pa

Being a Character Formation Lecturer (Insights after 3 years)

Before anything, do follow  @malaysianchristianmemes  on  insta . I am in my fourth year teaching what some may call a niche subject, a useless subject, waste of time, least important subject. But... I have been teaching it for three years and I am still here. What retains me? And what have I learnt from all of this? Before you continue reading, please do not take anything to heart, I am laying these insights as it is and of course it is a learning process. But all would make sense if you wait to the end or else just  skip to the end. 13  Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do:  forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,   14  I press on toward the goal for  the prize of the upward  call of God in Christ Jesus.   15  Let those of us who are  mature think this way, and if in anything  you think otherwise,  God will reveal that also to you. 16  Only  let us hold true to what we have attained. What makes me stay? I a
